I believe that it is more often forgotten than remembered that the Lord promised “with every temptation is a way of escape" (1st Cor 10 vs13). If we could keep this at the core of the mind more often, as we experience grief, temptations, testing, or being pressed beyond what we often feel is within of our capacity to cope, we come into a deeper understanding of strength in who we were created to be. On this platform of revelation, we are then able to continuously affirm the undeniable truth that God is faithful. Stewarding pain well brings us into continuous fulfillment of “we are more than conquerors…” By this, we gather the bounties of our harvest and mature into a more fortified stance. Pain is a weapon; when it forms, use it to build. Don’t allow it to use you to tear down. Let your first response be to look for that way of escape.
